Abhayanga: Ayurvedic Massage Oil

How Abhyanga (Ayurvedic self-massage)
Materials: 3.2 oz massage oil to their needs for balance, plastic bottle, hot water bottle, old cotton towel or mat, paper towels.
Step 1. Pour oil in the bottle squeeze bottle and seal.
Step 2. Place the bottle in hot water for 5 minutes or until the oil is heated to heat comfortably.
Step 3. Stand on your towel or mat in a hot air stream comfortable room.
Step 4. Squeeze a little oil while in the oil palm and apply on your body, working systematically until your body is anointed with oil.
Step 5. Then, massage oil in the skin, giving each part of your body the proper care. Use movements up and down the limbs and circular movements in the joints, chest and abdomen. Apply slight pressure on the chest and abdomen at the ends. This process should take about 10-12 minutes.
Step 6. If you massage your scalp, apply oil to the crown of the head, then work the oil into the scalp with your fingers in circles outward.
Step 7. Sit quietly eyes closed for 5 minutes, breathing deeply.
Step 8. Pat any excess oil with paper towels.
Step 9. Take a bath or shower, carefully not to slip. Wipe excess oil from your feet before dropping the towel or blanket. Use a very mild cleanser without soap and shampoo.
Step 10. Pat your skin with a towel and apply a moisturizing lotion or natural soft powder dusting.
Note: Towels and rugs that represent possibly abhyanga stained and impregnated with oil, so use old and not put them in the washer or dryer. They should be discarded and replaced periodically.
